What a burn.
Colin Jost was roasted on “Saturday Night Live” this weekend for making less money than his megastar wife, Scarlett Johansson.
Cast member Mikey Day joined Jost, 42, at the “Weekend Update” desk as Lord Gaga, the fictional husband of the episode’s host and musical guest, Lady Gaga, and ridiculed the comedian’s marriage.
After Jost pointed out that Day’s “wife” is “very successful” with 14 Grammys and an Oscar, Day, 44, took a shot at Jost’s salary compared to his wife’s.

“Can you imagine, Colin, a man whose wife makes more money than he?” Day said, as the audience in Studio 8H laughed. “Can you imagine? Oh, the shame he would feel!”
Jost glared at Day and then at the camera with a straight face.
“Imagine, Colin, if I were sitting here on television behind this desk, staring at that camera, the world staring back at me knowing that my wife’s income dwarfs my own! I would die,” Day continued, as Jost tried not to laugh.
“Oh, I would die! What a living nightmare! What a nightmare!” Day said, as the audience cheered.
Day added, “Oh, I’m sorry. Now tell me, what does your wife do?” at the end of the sketch.
Jost and Johansson, 40, met when the Marvel actress hosted an episode of “SNL.” Jost has worked on the sketch comedy show since 2005.
The couple got married in 2020 and welcomed their son, Cosmo, in August 2021.
Jost’s net worth is estimated at around $10 million, while Johansson is reportedly worth over $165 million.
Over the years, Johansson has been the butt of jokes on “SNL,” including when her husband was forced to read crude comments about her during one of his and Michael Che’s “Weekend Update” segments in December.
For the joke swap bit, Jost read absurd quips about Johansson — including one where Jost said he’s “eating roast beef every night since my wife had the kid” — as the “Marriage Story” actress watched from backstage in shock.
Jost appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” the following month and said his wife “was genuinely so shocked” about the segment.
“I’m in trouble I think with a lot of people,” he admitted.
During an appearance on Kelly Clarkson’s talk show in 2021, Johansson admitted that she gets nervous watching her husband on “SNL.”
“I now rarely watch without having a sense of … not overwhelming panic, just like a slight underwhelming panic, because I just feel like at any moment something’s going to fall apart,” she shared.
