Dolly Parton is in mourning for her husband, Carl Dean, who died in Nashville on March 3, 2025, at the age of 82.

On Instagram, the singer broke the devastating news that she has bid farewell to her lifelong partner after over 60 years of marriage.

Parton remembered on their decades together in an emotional speech, saying, “Carl and I had many amazing years together. The love we had for more than 60 years is beyond words. I appreciate your condolences and prayers.

Only his immediate family will attend the private funeral for Dean, who is known for being quiet despite his wife’s international renown. Parton and his siblings, Sandra and Donnie, are his survivors.
