Comedian and former talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has a reputation for moving in and out of homes at a clip. However, she has surely broken her own record after moving to the UK in the wake of Donald Trump‘s election win and purchasing an $18 million residence in the leafy Cotswolds. However, according to the Daily Mail, DeGeneres is having second thoughts, having been flooded and running into problems with her neighbors.

It’s not that Ellen and her wife, Portia de Rossi, are reconsidering living in England. Rather, they are considering moving out of their historic, sprawling farmhouse in favor of a more modern home.

“Ellen and Portia have had several issues with the place they initially moved into. First there was the flooding, of course, then there was an issue with some locals complaining about some building work carried out at the property,” a source told the Daily Mail.

The source added: “So the upshot seems to have been that they started to have a look around and then this property came up.They looked at it several times. And they liked it more each time they looked. So it does look like it’s happening. They’ve been seen around there several times in recent weeks and have even had interactions with neighbors.”

From Old To Bold

Their possible new home is the polar opposite of a classic rambling farmhouse. It’s strikingly modern, with clean lines, and it sits atop a hill, negating the chance of flooding.

It’s not as if Ellen has to worry about buying a newer home in the Cotswolds without selling the first property she purchased. She and de Rossi sold three homes in California in quick succession for staggering numbers before they left.

Prolific House Flipper

She sold two homes in Montecito last spring for $13.5 million and $32 million, respectively, flipping them after buying them shortly before. Around the same time, she sold a Carpenteria cliffside estate for an alarming $96 million, earning a sizable $26 million profit, according to Realtor.com. Indeed, before leaving the U.S., DeGeneres was a prolific flipper, buying and selling over 50 luxury homes, often selling them to celebrity friends.
